I've gone on and on about this event called Aquashella and never gone into detail about how it all began. It started when George(Coralfish12g) and Shawn(FritzAquatics) approached me about this crazy idea of bringing a new feel to the hobby. I was very excited but also felt overwhelming because after a 45 min video call over FB it was all too much to grasp. The ideas that were tossed around all sounded great but also very difficult if not impossible to create in such short amount of time. At the time it was May and all felt like we were ok on time, not great but ok. Creating a festival atmosphere while bringing the reef hobby a fresh breath of air; Art, Music, Speakers, Coral, Fish, a visual experience like we never seen before. I've never came close to being part of something this wild! I've had art galleries of my own in the past, so I know how much work and dedication it takes to put something like this together. I knew it wouldn't be easy but it certainly wasn't impossible. Here we are just a few weeks away and I'm feeling very comfortable about this whole process. I have been working very hard to bring a large amount of art to this festival. I've never pushed myself this hard with such a short amount of time. I'm truly happy I was given the opportunity to be a part of this. Its not just a regular coral swap to me its an art gallery, and I'm bringing my best. I can't wait to meet all the artist and everyone thats attending. I will also be doing a live painting session for those attending! How cool is that? Well thats all I have for today time to get back to work.
